Michael Gyarmathy is a Principal Software Engineer at PGA of America, based at the association's home in Frisco, Texas, where he joined in 2020 to help stand up a new digital products team. He leads development on PGA Coach, a platform that helps golf teaching professionals run and modernize their businesses, after spending roughly five years in software consulting across a range of industries. Notably, he wasn't a golfer when PGA of America hired him — he deliberately immersed himself in the game to understand his customers firsthand, an approach he credits as central to his customer-obsession engineering philosophy. Outside of work, he enjoys live music, distance running, and breakfast for dinner.
